The 2014 Audi A3 Sportback. Another Bad Ass Audi.
Updated June 27, 2014
In keeping with the recent unveiling at this year’s Paris Auto Show, Audi has come through once again with yet another great looking car that will be added to the 2014 lineup. The 2014 Audi A3 Sportback is a look into the immediate future of Audi, and where they want to go with their brand. As we all know the “A” line of cars is Audi’s smallest group of cars, and like always, there’s something new that’s in store for the new model. For 2014 the A3 Sportback is doing more than sporting two extra doors, and the usual great Audi looks. The rear section of the car has been designed to let the world know that the 2014 Audi A3 Sportback name will become a brand within the Audi family itself.
Ensuring this belief are some new power options, and technological goodies to come standard with the new A3. Power for the A3 will come in a form of six different engine options. First off you’ll be able to order a 1.2L
four banger that pushes out 105hp. That’s ’99 Honda Civic power. Then there’s a 1.4L that with certain options can push out either 122hp, to 140hp. (Getting better.) Then there’s a beefier 1.8L, 180hp option that can really get the blood pumping, and then finally, there’s some speculation that closer to the actual release of the 2014 Audi A3 Sportback, that there will be a turbo-charged 2.0L, four cylinder motor that will boast close to 300hp. (Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!)
Now as far as the interior ICE is concerned, Audi proposes either a 5.8inch, or 7.0 inch touchscreen that will rise from the center of the dashboard of the A3. Hand controls will be incorporated into the shift knob, which is a first for Audi. This feature will allow the driver to not only navigate the infotainment’s GPS, but also control whether he/she wants to use voice controls to update their Facebook, or Twitter accounts. Other options that the new A3 comes with is a plethora of safety options, like lane departure, and early collision warnings will be on a pretty sizable sheet of life saving options.
Like most Audi models, the 2014 Audi A3 Sportback will have the standard wheel options, such as the 16”, 17”, & 18” for all of those who need to see this A3 looking like a slightly more tamed version of it’s older brother the 2013 RS-5. This new model will be available to Europe, as well as America, and in that respect the arrival of yet another great Audi piece will keep all of Audi’s greatest fans waiting anxiously. Impatient, but anxiously waiting.
