The 2015 Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition.
Updated December 21, 2014
When you hear the word prestige, what comes to mind? Upper class living, and fine dining perhaps? Million dollar mansions that would, and could put anything Justin Bieber has ever put his hands on to absolute shame. Well, what about prestige when it comes down to cars? Well, we will briefly dwell on the 2015 Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition, so that we could truly understand the word prestige.
So, as most of you out there already know, Aston Martin is a company that prides itself on creating some of the most pristine, elaborate, posh, and uber high class two door sport coupes you have ever seen. That said, what would it take to keep the Aston Martin name in the mouths of those people who love cars, and love talking about cars? The One 77 was a car that demanded the attention of the masses, and kept it for a short amount of time, and I say this is due to the fact that there were so many more high priced, uber powered, two door cars that hit streets immediately afterward. Cars like the McLaren P1, the Pagani Huayra, and the Lamborghini Veneno have all been hogging the limelight at one time or another. So, now that the hoopla has died down a little, the design team over at Aston Martin decided to spend some of that hard earned money that was accrued from all of those One 77 purchases, and make something worth talking about.
Here we have the 2015 Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Edition that has the look of a car that needs to be released on a track, as long as it’s paved in red velvet, and platinum trimmings. Just to put it out there, this new DB9 Carbon Edition comes in two main, and probably only colors, Carbon black, and Carbon White. No pictures of the White Edition have been released as of yet. Probably because no one has ordered one. For the most part, when you look at this DB9 you can expect that this model will pack a punch, and sound just as good if not better in person. An all Aluminum, Naturally Aspirated, 6.0L, V12 that’s churning out 510 Hp, and just over 455lb feet of torque to the 20 inch, ten spoke rear wheels. Now, translating that power to the ground is a highly sophisticated, electronically controlled 7 speed transmission, that does more than keep you flying by the seat of your pants. To put it mildly, and how I like to say it, is the DB9 is the European cousin to the non-supercharged Ford Mustang. Tons of torque, and power on tap, but the DB9 always finds a way to do it with more of a pinky finger in the air type of vibe.
A quick note about the inside of the 2015 Aston Martin Carbon Edition, leather is the flavor of the day, everyday. Yes, get used to it. Push button start, paddle shifters, Bang & Olufsen sound system, power seats, in dash CD player, Sport Modes, and Aston Martin Carbon Edition plaques on the door sills. OK, now that that’s done, let’s move on to something else.
Now that this car has been created, what else will we hear from this prestigious, posh runabout? Well, to brutally honest we don’t really know. We can speculate that this car will perform as great as any other high performance cars of the same caliber. I mean we could probably pair this DB9 Carbon Edition up with the likes of a 2014 Audi R8 V10+, or maybe even see how it would fair up against a 2014 Nissan GTR, aka Godzilla. Either way, the Carbon Edition will be a car that has the moniker of a high classed prized fighter, with the punch to back it up. Time will tell if this car will make a solid impact in our automotive world. Thanks for Reading.
