Introducing The 2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4!
Updated October 11, 2018
When we look at cars, what is the first thing we normally see? The number one answer would be, is it’s shape. And there’s one auto manufacturer that has a shape that’s always unmistakable, and that company is Lamborghini.
Lamborghini is a company that’s steeped in all types of vehicular history, for many many years, and honestly we’re not even going to touch any of that information. We are here to discuss Lamborghini’s newest street fighter, the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4. Like all Lambo’s the name has numbers that actually mean something, and they also have the looks to back up just about any claim that proceeds them.
The 2015 Huracan LP 610-4 is a car that has been blessed with quite a few stunning attributes. First off, if you look at the classic, and well known wedge shape, this car sports, you’ll notice that the front fascia is much more aggressive than usual. It favors the snout of the Aventador, but has the eyes of a killer waiting to strike. Low slung body lines always seem to favor Lamborghini’s whenever you see them, and this Huracan is no exception to the rule. From front to back, the Huracan has a true look of aggression, but it has been understated by it’s body lines. There are no over exaggerated lines, or severely sharp angles, that would normally be found on a new Lambo. This Huracan seemed to have been built under that whole K.I.S.S mantra (Keep It Simple Stupid).
Under that attic door sized rear deck lid, lies an all aluminum, 5.2L 90 degree, V10 that beats to the pulse of over 610Hp to all of it’s road gripping wheels. The torque number is considerably lower than expected, and it sits at a respectable 420lb feet. Now of course, we keep in mind that this car is very light weight, and having a high torque number would eventually compromise performance. In other words, a high torque number would essentially cause problems with high speeds, and cornering prowess. Besides, high revving engines, normally rely on power rather than torque to get them where they need to go. Look at Honda as an example. They make tons of power, but the torque numbers always suck, but what does it matter, if your power can get you where you need to go in a hurry?
OK, moving on, the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 is an All Wheel Drive beast that looks as menacing as it sounds. Zero to 60 in under 3.4 seconds, and with a top speed of over 200mph, the term, “Flying by the seat of your pants” has a whole new meaning. Sitting in this car is similar to sitting in a jet fighter simulator cockpit, that just happens to have an extra seat, and a steering wheel, as opposed to a stick. The buttons, and switches are completely inspired by Lamborghini’s other mind blowing vehicles, the Veneno, and the Egoista. One of them is a complete, and total, “One Off” car, while the other has had the privilege of being cloned about three or four times. The leather wrapped dash, delivers a sense of awe, as you let your eyes travel from side to side, whilst taking in this cluster of sheer simplistic brilliance.
Whoever said, “Just put in a lot of buttons, and make them Red or Black” was either a genius, or a true kid at heart. Either way, the cockpit of the Huracan will do more than make you want to break quite a few road infractions every time you sit down, it’ll also put some hair on your chest, as your heart tries to escape your body, right before you push the Start button. It’s a mind blowing experience to drive this car. I will say it’s better than sex, and for these reasons. Like any, “Good” monogamous relationship, it comes down to both partners having the will to keep each other entertained in the bedroom.
The Huracan is a partner that keeps giving, and giving, and all she ever asks for, is more. There’s no getting tired, or bored with this car. There’s no regret, or remorse from a dissatisfying performance. Nor is there a point where you have to worry about somebody asking you, “Is that all?” With the 2015 Huracan LP 610-4, you are who you are meant to be, and that is an all controlling man, who’s ego has been stroked to the size of Free Willy, and all due to a V10 that makes you wanna grab steering tighter than a newly moisturized set of Double D’s at the strip club. Yep, I went there fellas. You know who you are.
The point of this car, is not show off another great looking Lamborghini wedge design, but to let people know that this car is a true street fighter. It’s only a matter of time, until you see this car pitted against the likes of a GT3, or an R8, or even the mighty GTR. It’ll take time, but it will happen. For what it’s worth, the Huracan will make it’s mark in the automotive world, and for this reason simple reason. It’s a Lamborghini for Pete’s sake, what else is it supposed to do?
