The 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX Could Be Quite Affordable…!
Early Reports Suggest That The 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX Will Be Very Affordable
So you want a supercharged machine from Team Green but don’t want to pay big bucks? Well, the word on the street is that the 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX sports tourer is a very affordable option. Don’t get too excited though, because it might not be the case, although all signs seem to indicate that the H2 SX will have a much more acceptable price tag than its more aggressive brethren. While these prices aren’t official announcements, the super-sleuths over at Motorrad magazine have put two and two together…
Supercharged But Affordable? – The 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX
According to motorcycle-magazine.com, the English outlet for Motorrad magazine, their journalists have caught a glimpse at the Kawasaki prices for the United Kingdom. For the United Kingdom, the 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX prices are said to be “more than £10,000 cheaper than the H2 superbike that spawned it” – commanding a reported price tag of £15,099. In real money, that’s $19,816 at the current exchange rate. Since the regular Kawasaki H2 retails for $28,000, that would indicate that the 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX really could be retailing for a price much lower than we expected, despite the fact that it comes with most of the perks of the conventional H2, and a proverbial shit-load more real-world practicality.
You might be thinking that the deal is too good to be true, and other factors might make the 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX more expensive when (and if) it arrives on US shores, but facts from Canada seem to support the (relatively) low-price theory. Canadian Kawasaki Motors have already gone and released their pricing for 2018, and the H2 SX is listed at CA$21,899 (US$17,192), and they also list a special edition model which is listed at a slightly higher CA$25,299. The stock Kawasaki H2 sells for about CA$31,000, so that $10k price drop seems to be across the board.
Well, that’s if the 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX even arrives in the US, since Kawasaki haven’t yet confirmed it. Of course, we fully expect the H2 SX to come to US shores, because the rest of Kawasaki’s supercharged family are already here. The H2 and H2 Carbon (the latter retailing for $31k), and the legendary H2R ($55k) have already made a big impression on the US motorcycling community, and we expect the new 2018 Kawasaki H2 SX to be a big player in the years to come – especially if it sells for cheaper than $20k. If it is that cheap though, you might want to get in contact with your nearest Kawasaki dealership and express your interest…because we imagine that the demand for one of these will be pretty high.
