The new face-lifted variant of the Hyundai Tucson SUV launched in S.Korea

To meet the growing customer demand in South Korea, Hyundai Motor Co. launched a facelifted version of its Tucson sports utility vehicle(SUV), the automaker said on Tuesday.
The automaker said in a statement, the Tucson facelift comes in three variants, one with a gasoline motor and two with a diesel motor. The gas variant comes with a 1.6-liter turbo engine and a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The diesel variants are a 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter engine with an eight and seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
The automaker has introduced an new all wheel drive option for its customers. Safety features like lane keeping assist, driver awareness warning system and front collision avoidance have been added to the Tucson.
The facelifted Tucson would have a starting price of US$21,000 (24 million won) and can go up to $26,755 (30 million won) depending on the variant.
Hyundai sold 2.58 million vehicles in January-July period a 2.9 percent rise from the same time last year.
