The Perfect Car for Racers and Car Enthusiasts alike– The Toyota FT-1 Graphite

Published January 10, 2015

With Toyota looking to give a complete overhaul of the Supra franchise, it looks as though it is taking initial form feedback through the FT-1 Graphite (FT Standing for Future Toyota). The Toyota FT-1 Graphite is currently available for car and race fanatics alike to view and play through Gran Turismo 6.

Exterior Design:

Like the name implies, the FT-1 Graphite is just that in color. The Toyota FT-1 graphite bolsters a muscular design the really centers with a prominent coupe with an elongated hood. To boost top speeds Toyota has added an extensible and retractable wing to the back of the vehicle.

Interior Design:

The interior of the car is simple, yet sleek with a premium leather design. With high speeds in mind the designers set out to elongate the A-pillars which increases cornering vision that makes it easier for the driver to see the obstacles around him/her. The gears are also positioned in a closely accessible manner giving the driver less to fidget around to find.

Driving and Performance:

In terms of performance, Toyota has said in press releases that they are trying to make a car that rivals the Aston Martin DP-100 which has a staggering 800 hp. With expected horse power that large and an already aerodynamic design we can expect this car to get from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds! Top speeds are expected to be around 200 mph. With the ability to rapidly accelerate and such a high max speed, we expect the car to be under 2,500 pounds (a common threshold for most cars with similar specs).

Pricing:
Toyota looks to be targeting high end Honda and Nissan owners with the FT-1 Graphite so we expect a top trim prices to range anywhere from $90,000 to $110,000.

Concluding, we see that the Toyota FT-1 Graphite may be a real home run for Toyota if the specs match up to the feel of the muscular/action-packed design. The car is otherwise the total package for race and car enthusiasts looking for performance and design!
