Japanese friendly car, with the Nissan brand on it is one of the active automobiles in market. Delivering some exciting products over the years since 1933, Nissan stands in the sixth place of greatest car company of all times. We have hand-picked 10 of their brilliant creations for you.
1. Datsun 240/Nissan Fairlady Z (1970-1973):
Manufacturing the Z cars for more than 5 decades, it was this piece of art that was laid the foundation to it. Also known as ‘Poor Man’s Porsche’, it rode the streets with a remarkably low price tag. With 151 horsepower and 2.4 liter make, it might not be the first choice today but back then it made every head turn in awe.
2. Nissan GT-R (2008):
The first and by far the greatest luxury sports coupe, the GT-R remains unbeaten over the years. Having a horse power of 545 and 463 lb feet, it is the best performing car irrespective of the price.
3. Nissan Sunny (2013):
Nissan introduced the mid-sized sedan Sunny earlier this year with enhanced exterior and interior. Style and comfort is what it is built for with chrome plated truck detailing and special body mouldings.
4. Nissan Leaf (2011):
The era of electric cars started with the Nissan Leaf which stormed the lanes with powerful motors and battery capacity. Giving an average of 73 miles, this car is not exactly what you would call a typical domestic ride! 5. Nissan 240SX (1989-1994):
Low cost of entry and much turning potential is exactly what this car offers. Introduced in the ‘90s, this car was extremely popular on drift and autocross circuits.
6. Datsun 1500 (1963-1965):
Competing with British MG and Triumph, the Datson 1500 came with its own unique Japanese touch. Running at 77-85 horsepower, it represented fun and carefree roadster on wheels with a powerful engine and a bigger platform.
7. Nissan Skyline GT-R
This list will not be complete with the Nissan Skyline GT-R name on it. Though it did not enter the USA grounds, it marked the end of the 19th century in style. It is built with an easily tunable motor and twin turbo engine.
8. Nissan 300ZX:
1990s was the time for big horse power. The cars in that time were swept by the tremendous performance of Mitsubishi 3000GT, Toyota Supra and Acura NSX against which Nissan had to battle. To match up, it built the 300 ho, 3 liters V6 with 283 lb-ft, Nissan 300ZX.
9. Nissan Maxima (1989-1994):
Nissan gave the economy world a luxury car to feast on with the chassis-code J30 Maxima. It was perhaps the first car that passed the ‘midsize’ criteria.
10. Nissan Altima (2007-2012):
It was this car that created a name for itself in the US market with its agile performance and cutting edge engine options. The Altima eventually beat the Accord with an increasing sales rate.
Nissan is slowly but steadily making its way to the top spot with its excellent technology and innovative designs.
