Used car sales in Hungary have reached a new record high

Second-hand cars sales in Hungary are booming and the country has witnessed a new record high in the second quarter of 2018. As per reports, Opel seems to be the most popular car brand among buyers.

On Friday, a used car seller website stated that 374,300 used cars were sold in hungry in the first half of 2018, a 14% rise since the same time last year, as cited by MTI a national news agency.

The second quarter of the year has seen a 16.8% growth in used car sales to 201,200. This has been the highest since has been taking records of car sales from Q1 2015. 124, 600 second-hand cars were sold in the first quarter of 2015.

Opel was the most preferred brand among buyers and 13% of the total used car sales were of the Opel brand, Suzuki came next with 9.9% and Volkswagen at 9.8% of the total market share of second-hand cars. predicted that the total car sales could climb to 760,000 in 2018 from 686,000 in 2017.
