Watch This Porsche 911 Transform With A Hand Made Wide Body Kit (Video)
Published December 29, 2016
There’s something so satisfying about being able to watch a build from beginning to end. In this case, we have a 22 minute documentary following the creation of a wide body kit for this Porsche 911. The special touch here is that Akira Nakai-san of RWB makes all of the modifications by hand.
Custom Work By Hand
Every kit that comes from RAUH-Welt Begriff is made in this way so every one is unique and precious. The labor process takes longer than it does at other tuners where they just slap on a pre-fabricated kit and call it a day. We think that the end result is well worth the wait as Akira’s skilled hand takes the time to make every cut and edge perfect.
Front To Rear Revisions
So far, he has created dozens of new looks for other Porche 911s but “Fighting Knight” is among the best. It has dramatically flared wheel arches all around and they blend perfectly into the special side skirts. From there is a huge front lip and a retouched rear end as well as a fittingly large rear spoiler.
Follow the process from beginning through to the ending cruise and photo shoots in the video below. Let us know what you think of Akira Nakai-san’s work on this or any other of his 911 customization works.
Is there another body kit artist out there who does this level of work by hand? We’d love to hear about them in the comments sections below so feel free to share!
