Who Stole Paul Walker’s Car Collection?

Whatever Happened To The Missing Half Of The Paul Walker Car Collection?

Paul Walker lived his life just like he lived in the movies: Fast and Furious. His car collection demonstrates that. Now, someone has taken some of  those cars.

The man that Paul Walker entrusted his assembly of autos to, Richard Taylor, is purported to have relieved Paul’s estate of more than 30 cars without their consent. That means he stole them from the warehouse.

He and his accomplices removed them from the collection within hours of the crash on Nov. 30, 2013 in what seems to be an incredibly ballsy move. The first thing he did after hearing his boss had died was to steal his cars.

The estate claims that Taylor has hidden or sold some of the cars already for his own personal gain. They include a 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, a 2008 BMW M3, and a 2006 Crown Vic among many others.

The second half of the report relates to the estate of the man who perished alongside Paul in the fiery high-speed crash. Paul’s estate claims Roger Rodas’ estate has in 17 cars in their possession that belong to them including a 2010 Audi R8 and a 1969 Mustang. They either want the cars back or the equivalent cash value.

Determining cash value on any of Paul Walker’s personal cars will be nearly impossible simply because they were Paul’s cars. Associating a value on an intangible factor like the previous ownership will prove to be quite difficult.

The estate’s hope is that both lawsuits will be trials by jury. That doesn’t seem like it would be totally fair considering the notoriety of the accident.

About Chris Riley

I have been wrecking cars for as long as I've been driving them, but I keep coming back for more. Two wheels or four, I'm all in. I founded GearHeads.org and then built and ran AutoWise.com until selling it to Lola Digital Media in 2020. I look forward to watching AutoWise grow as part of the AllGear group.
