Wrapped Up 2017 Audi R8 V10 Looks Like A Win
Published August 7, 2016
The new 2017 Audi R8 V10 will certainly change the way we look at the mid-engine supercars. Heavily revised V10 is at the back in two variants – the 540bhp and the 610bhp. Basically, it means that the buyers of the new R8 will have far less to choose from. Apart from the V8 engine the manual transmission and its brilliant, gated gear lever are also gone. Both variants of the new V10 share the same 5.2-liter displacement and potent, 8700-rpm with the automatic seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The car is extremely fast.
The R8 V10 will go from 0 to 60 in three seconds, with a top speed of 205 mph. The Quattro chassis feels sharper compared to the old R8, and the centre differential is electronically controlled – ensuring it’s a rear-drive car for agility unless it needs a dose of front-drive for security and grip.
Even though the new R8 is a complete package that has not stopped tuners to try to add to the factory package. The guys from Fostla turned their attention to the vehicle’s appearance – without interfering with anything else because the engine is powerful enough. But by optimizing the body with wrapping the car in Sunflower-Matt-Metallic vinyl and coating some fibre parts for protection from stone chipping, they created something exceptional and desirable.
A direct competitor of the Audi R8 is the Lamborghini Huracán. Mechanically, two cars are as closely related as any two GM J-bodies. They share the same engine, transmission, partially carbon-fibre floor and bulkhead, chassis hard points, steering system, and electronic architecture. The real difference between these two cars comes with the software and slightly different setup of all the elements mentioned above. This gives them their unique character.
Nevertheless, Fostla transformed the Audi for now. Considering that they did BMW’s before, we are sure that the Huracan could receive a body wrap as well.
