2021 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 Special Edition Hunting UTVs Revealed

Get Way Off The Beaten Path On Your Next Hunt With These Limited Edition Polaris RANGER XP 1000

2021 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 hunting special editions

Polaris announced the 2021 off-road lineup and it has us itching to get outside. While the Sportsman 850 Ultimate Trail Edition serves up more off-road performance with larger tires and LED lighting, it’s the new 2021 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 limited edition models that really caught our attention.

New for 2021, hunters can choose between the RANGER XP 1000 Waterfowl Edition and Big Game Edition. They’re built on the same base model, each with a unique set of features.

2021 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 Big Game Edition

The 2021 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 Big Game Edition is focused on hauling heavy loads in the mountains. The 29-inch Maxxis tires work combined with arched A-arms give a higher ground clearance and the ability to tackle obstacles.

The self-leveling rear suspension keeps the ride smooth as you haul heavy loads (fingers crossed you land that big buck) over uneven terrain. This model also has Active Descent Control, which works with the engine braking system to engage all four wheels on steep descents. This is a noteworthy feature for big game hunters, but also for anyone who regularly rides fully loaded in the mountains.

Additionally, the 4,500-pound winch has been moved to a higher position for easier use. And the heavy-duty bumper provides more front-end protection.

Key Features of the RANGER XP 1000 Big Game Edition

  • Self-Leveling Rear Suspension
  • Active Descent Control
  • High-Clearance – Arched A-arms and 29-inch Maxxis Tires
  • Heavy Duty Front Bumper
  • 4,500 lb Winch Mounted Higher for Easy Use
  • LED Headlights
  • Starting at $20,199

To top it all off, there are a bevy of accessories available. Polaris worked with popular big game hunters Lee and Tiffany Lakosky to curate a line of add-ons spanning the gamut from a Front Hood Storage Rack to a Beacon LED Light.

2021 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 Waterfowl Edition

The big concerns when hunting ducks are deep-water and sticky mud. The 2021 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 Waterfowl Edition addresses both.

The 29-inch Pro Armor Mud XC Tires provide maximum traction, without sacrificing ride comfort on the trail. And the air intake has been mounted high above the bed, to avoid swamping the engine. Hunters can plow through the water confidently en route to the blind.

Like the Big Game Edition, this model also has LED headlights, a 4,500-pound winch, and a reinforced bumper. For accessories, Polaris worked with Tony Vandemore. There is a lot of overlap in accessories offered, but one standout is the Pro Shield Cab System which creates a fully sealed interior.

Key Features of the RANGER XP 1000 Waterfowl Edition

  • 29-inch Pro Armor Mud XC Tires
  • High-Mounted Air Intake
  • Exclusive New Camo Print
  • Heavy Duty Front Bumper
  • 4,500 lb Winch Mounted Higher for Easy Use
  • LED Headlights
  • Starting at $20,199
The Waterfowl Edition features an air intake placed high above the bed.

2021 RANGER XP 1000

I haven’t had a chance to test the new RANGER XP 1000, but after spending months putting the Polaris GENERAL to the test, I have no doubt it would be equally fun, durable, and useful.

The 2021 Ranger XP 1000 is available now, with a starting price of $20,199. To find a local dealer and price out one for yourself, go to Polaris’s website HERE.
