The Lucid Motors Air Dream Edition sedan is an all-electric powerhouse and coming to a road near you soon. The new car will officially debut on September 9th, but until then Lucid continues to keep the excitement high with more information and big numbers. The latest is a 9.9 second 144.4 mph 1/4 mile run down the Sonoma Raceway dragstrip, absolutely smoking a Tesla Model S Performance.
With this run, Lucid Motors is claiming the “World’s Quickest Production Sedan” title. We think that’s a bit optimistic, as the Lucid Air is not yet a production car. We are impressed by its speed, however!
Lucid Air Dream Edition

Along with massive power, especially in the dual-motor Dream Edition of the car, it is also supposed to offer up truly impressive range. Over the summer Lucid had the Air tested by an independent organization, to EPA test cycle standards. The result was an estimated EPA range of 517 miles. Range-anxiety be gone!
