You aren’t going to find a used one for much under $100,000. Of course, you could downgrade to the V8 instead and save a little money, but you’re going to give up the 563 horsepower for 430 instead.

2. 2000 Audi TT

The Audi TT debuted at the end of 1998 and there were some significant problems with the original design. After numerous high-speed accidents, Audi worked at improving the handling with their Electronic Stability Program (ESP). They also added Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) plus a rear spoiler and modified suspension system.

What came from all this hard work was amazing. In 2000, it was nominated for the North American Car of the Year Award. If that wasn’t enough, it was in the Car and Driver Ten Best List for 2000 and then again in 2001. 3. 2005 Bentley Continental GT

With its 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine, you can expect 552 horsepower. Even though this is a car from over ten years ago, it still produces more power than most new cars today.

In fact, you can find them for under $40,000, which isn’t too bad. The downside to this car is that the four-passenger seating is questionable. Sure, it’s there in a pinch if you need it, but most adults aren’t going to feel comfortable getting into that back seat. In addition, you won’t find one with a manual transmission, so that’s something you’ll have to give up.

4. 2000 Honda S2000 Roadster

You can’t fully appreciate how it feels to be behind the wheel of a Honda S2000 Roadster until you get the chance for yourself. It features a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower.

5. 2012 Lexus LFA

Considering this is one of the fastest Lexus cars ever created, it will still fetch about half a million dollars on the used market. Considering the MSRP in 2012 was only $375,000, this is becoming quite the collectible and one of the best 2 door cars ever made. The lightweight of this car adds to the acceleration potential of the 4.8-liter V10. It’s created from Toyota’s Formula One racing engine and produces 552 horsepower.

Power isn’t all it has; it’s also hyper-accurate with the steering and supplies razor-sharp agility. Because the engine is front-mounted, but behind the front axle, it also achieves a near-equal weight distribution. The two-seat exotic sports car comes in one trim which included 20-inch alloy wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way heated power seats, Bluetooth, a 12-speaker sound system, and iPod interface. There were also some options available including a rearview camera and special-order color schemes.

The Lexus LFA also featured an exquisite cabin, but it lacked the prestige of other exotics like Ferrari. Most people didn’t expect Lexus to build something so magnificent when it came to sports cars, and we’ll probably never see anything like it again.

Just like the 911, this Porsche offers some supreme handling and plenty of power. The power top goes down quickly, allowing you to enjoy the warm sunshine faster.

With the mid-engine design, iconic Porsche styling, and exceptional steering, this Boxster receives more credit than it gets. Of course, the interior is slightly cheap which hurt the company a little, but you won’t find such a great vehicle at this price point anymore.

8. 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia

There’s almost nothing bad to say about this sports car, which is why it deserves its spot on our best 2 door cars list. It offers unparalleled performance, world-class handling, a brilliant transmission, and finely-crafted cabin. Of course, there was no manual transmission offered with it, but that can easily be overlooked. The mid-engine layout made the handling out of this world, just what you would expect from this Italian automaker.

It also produced one of the best sounds ever heard with its V8 engine. The 4.5-liter engine produces 562 horsepower making it capable of a 0 to 60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds.  It set the benchmark for other exotic sports cars. It does feature a little added weight with the aluminum construction, but it was safer and came with lots of technology.

9. 2005 VW Golf GTI

This cute, sporty coupe is a blast to drive and often found for less than $5,000. It came with plenty of standard equipment and the cabin exuded a premium feel. With the ease of its hatchback design, there was plenty of cargo room. In addition, there was an available six-speed manual transmission offered that year.

Let’s face it; there are sports cars, then there’s a Bugatti! It features 1000 horsepower and a top speed of 252 mph. No wonder they still sell for more than a million dollars. In fact, you have to be someone like Tom Brady to own a car like this.

The Veyron certainly screams for attention while on the road and no one will miss seeing you behind the wheel. With a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine, it would be difficult to avoid such a scene. In fact, few cars have made such an impact on the world of automobiles like this one has. It’s ridiculously fast, extremely sexy, and worth the top spot of our best 2 door cars list.

Worst 2 Door Cars Ever Made

If we’re going to discuss the best 2 doors cars ever made, then we have to briefly touch on the worst. We’ve included four vehicles that everyone would agree should have never been produced in the first place.

1. Plymouth Prowler

During the mid-1990s, automakers had more tools at their disposal to create new cars with. This allowed them to design unique and interesting concepts. One that should have never made production is the Plymouth Prowler. It was supposed to inspire feelings of the hot rod days, but it was just a disappointment.

While they might have wanted to make a hot rod, they clearly forgot to give it enough power. The 3.5-liter V6 and 250 horsepower was nothing to get excited about. There wasn’t even a manual transmission offered. It also featured a rough ride, lack of utility, and wasn’t comfortable to ride in. In the five years of production, less than 12,000 models were sold. We figure it probably drew more Neon sales than anything from people heading to dealers to see the Prowler.

2. 1992 Subaru SVX

Subaru built a reputation for themselves for producing dependable, practical cars, but this isn’t anything you would have expected from them. It was designed by an Italian and featured split windows that weren’t easy to use. It also featured a useless four-speed transmission, and cost more than anything else in their lineup at the time.

The 3.3-liter flat-6 engine did perform well and they offered all-wheel drive, so it did have that going for it. But the windows were just a deal-breaker. They were created to decrease the interior turbulence when opened, but they were a total dud. It takes a special person to like a car like this one.

3. Ford Probe

This coupe was produced in partnership with Mazda and was originally planned to become the fourth generation Mustang in America. As you can imagine, this didn’t go over well with Mustang fans, especially because it featured front-wheel-drive.

On top of the strange shoe-shape, it also had a terrible name and weak V6 engine. Due to poor sales, the bland sports car only made it on the market for eight years.

4. Yugo GV

Does this really need any explanation? This European import made its way to the United States from 1985 through 1992. The only word that could properly describe it is a brick. Let’s not forget the unsightly carpet that came inside and cheap plastic materials. Suffice to say; you weren’t going anywhere fast in a Yugo as it only came with a 1.1-liter engine and 55 horsepower. The only thing this car is known for is topping out most charts for the worst 2 door car ever.
