Whether putting in miles as a key part of a work crew or zigzagging throughout the country as the trusted home of wanderlusters, the RAM ProMaster has been a reliable workhorse that offers the space and efficiency drivers need in a full-size van.
RAM Commercial just unveiled its latest irritation of the ProMaster, dubbing it the most technologically advanced model so far. The 2022 RAM ProMaster is built around a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine combined with a TorqueFlight 9-speed automatic transmission.
RAM says the new ProMaster features best-in-class features, including standard V-6 power, turning radius, interior cargo height, and cargo width, along with a nearly 7,000-pound towing capacity.

RAM ProMaster Customization
The 2022 RAM ProMaster comes in 18 different configurations. RAM offers two roof heights, four lengths from 8 to 13.5 feet, and three wheelbase options to fine-tune each van for the conditions they demand.
The latest add-ins packed into the ProMaster include various safety features that make wielding larger, sometimes clumsy, vehicles much easier. These include forward-collision warning, crosswind assist, a rear backup camera with dynamic gridlines, post-collision braking, drowsiness detection, and traffic sign information.
Other available features include:
- Intelligent Speed Assist
- Lane Keep Assist
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
- Active Drive Assist system
- Front parking sensors
- Auto high-beams and cornering function fog lamps
For extra security, especially for those hauling expensive tools or living in a Promaster, the 2022 model can be equipped with a 360-degree surround-view camera that gives an overhead view of the vehicle on a seven or 10-inch digital touch screen.
RAM ProMaster Connectivity
The 2022 ProMaster includes the new Uconnect 5 system, which RAM says is five times faster than its predecessor. It allows for wifi capability, multiple user profiles, and split-screen capability from the driver and passenger.
The Uconnect 5 system works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alexa In-Vehicle Assistant users can remotely start the ProMaster, lock doors, play music, or check news and weather through voice commands. Additionally, two Bluetooth-enabled phones can connect to the system simultaneously.
The 2022 RAM ProMaster will be available in the fall. RAM also promises to launch an electric ProMaster option for 2023, marrying all the tech and performance in the Promaster with an eco-friendly powertrain.
