Introducing the limited-edition hybrid-powered Lamborghini Sian. Only 63 units of this exclusive machine will be made, and every single one of them has been sold already.
Armed with a roaring 6.5 liter V12 equipped with new supercapacitor technology, the new Lamborghini is effectively the world’s most advanced hybrid supercar. The engine now produces 774 hp, which is 15 more than the Aventador, and this engine is mated to a powerful 34 hp electric 48v motor. In total, the Lamborghini Sian boasts 808 horsepower. Boasting an acceleration time of 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds, the Sian is the fastest Lamborghini yet.
Apart from the new power train, the Sian is very much like the Aventador, though the interior has a slightly different theme.
Lamborghini’s chief technical officer Maurizio Reggiani explained: “With this car, we set ourselves the challenge of creating the best hybrid solution for a Lamborghini super sports car to provide the first step in our electrification strategy”. As you can see, it’s an amazing feat of engineering that manages to introduce advanced hybrid systems without diluting the classic firey nature of a Lamborghini.
We’ll try and get some up close pictures as soon as the crowds disperse – and of course, we will be updating this as soon as more information comes in! Until then, enjoy the image.
