Who among you all, remember way back when you were young, and all of you out there used to have sports car wallpapers hanging all over the place? You know what I’m talking about! For those who are old enough, know good and well about the 80’s and 90’s sports car wallpapers that would either display a Lamborghini Countach, or Magnum P.I.’s Ferrari. Or maybe you were like me, and had a few Japanese derived posters of a Nissan 240SX, or Nissan GTR R34. Regardless of it all, those sports car wallpapers were the items to have growing up.
Now if we fast forward to about the 2000 era, we’ll find one thing that was a part of every working man’s daily routine. A full color pic of either his favorite babe, or his favorite car, or both depending on how good he was with switching the pics around. At some point in time, after AOL kicked off, people began finding out about how they could get their hands on pics of their favorite dream cars, with the click of the mouse.
Granted, there were many guys out there who never gave up their classic 80’s Countach poster that always used to sit in the cheesy looking Gold frame. Haha!! You know!!! I had one too. I mean, if you think about it now, cars from the 80’s are somewhat coming back, and are more of a nostalgic piece than something we would normally look in the other direction. All of these same cars, and even the recent ones have found their way into our daily Gearhead driven lives. Our computers have become the walls of the 90’s, and we now have every single car we could possibly imagine at our fingertips.
If we want to see a pic of 1969 Dodge Charger in Triple Gloss Black, it’s there. Or if we’re dying to drool over the big assed, wide hip Bugatti Veyron, we need to do nothing more than click a few times, and there she is in all of her 1,200 hp glory. The world as we know it has become a car lovers hot bed of powerful engines, and stunning paint jobs. Sports Car Wallpapers have been some of the easiest ways to get a hold of something you wish you had sitting in your driveway. Now keep in mind that Google, pretty much has a lock on all things that can be searched, and looking for a car of your choice can be done quicker through Google, than anywhere else. But we still love the car wallpaper sites that give us what we want in our lives. The ability to daydream, and fawn over anything automotive, that our beating hearts desire.
